It's nice to see Alan Turing's picture here today even if it is to commemorate his suicide. Next year will be the 100the anniversary of his birth and I trust Manchester will celebrate all aspect of his life in Manchester. There are of course people in Manchester today who knew Turing. I hope they will have the opportunity for taking part in any celebration.
