WITH its elegant architecture, beautifully presented tables and secluded setting, Linen restaurant in Manchester235 is a seductive destination whatever the date.
On 14 February, they'll be cranking up the romance factor even further to present a five course Valentine's dinner, accompanied by live performances from singer-songwriter Kate Loveridge. In this competition, you can win a table for two there, worth £98.
Linen has a reputation for confident, bold cooking that goes all-out to impress. The Valentine's menu is no exception. After a welcome cocktail, you'll enjoy an amuse bouche before a starter of Piedmont white truffle velouté with purple cauliflower, or confit duck spring rolls served with orange marmalade and apple mousseline.
This indulgent beginning continues with either fresh Scottish oysters or rose Martini sorbet, both served with lime infused crushed ice.
For your main course, you have a choice of four dishes. Rump of Yorkshire lamb,
wild Atlantic sea bass, chicken portobello supreme, or pea and mint risotto. Full details are on the menu below.
The romantic, sure-to-be ravished dessert is rose Eton mess – a peach version of the classic sweet with light rose water chantilly.
While you dine, you'll be serenaded by the talented Kate Loveridge who has performed at the Radio 1 Big Weekend (BBC introducing stage), Godiva Awards, and at Times Square, New York.
If you like, you can also enjoy complimentary wine tasting in Linen’s wine boutique as part of your evening.
Enticing food, soulful music, and a beautiful setting – it's all you need to make this Valentine's Day special.
This exquisite dinner including the live entertainment and wine tasting costs £49 per person. To book, please call Linen on 0161 828 0345. See full details of the menu here.
