Manchester’s clubbers will be tangling at the Phoenix no more from the end of July, after the city’s longest running club night announced that they had decided to move on.
After a glorious nine years of sweat inducing disc spinning, Tangled will be packing up their records one last time and heading off to pastures new.
To explain a little more, here’s the man himself, Promoter Phil Morse:
"We have put on some of the best parties Manchester has seen at The Phoenix, but times change, and we feel the venue can't deliver what our clubbers want anymore. We would like to thank all the wonderful managers, staff and doormen for their help over the years in helping us to host our events at The Phoenix club.
"To have stayed put in one place for nine years is something even we still can't quite believe! We leave on a high, with a month of huge parties involving our friends big and small, old and new, and culminating in our two 13th birthday events at the end of July.
"The Phoenix is, in fact, our sixth venue, and as soon as our plans are at a stage when we can announce them publicly, we will. Suffice to say we are looking to put on events with a little more flair and are going to surprise many people – especially those who felt they had outgrown our Phoenix parties!"
To celebrate the start of a new era and reminisce about the good times, Tangled will be holding a leaving do to remember, with four one off club nights scheduled at the Phoenix throughout July.
If you want to be a part of clubbing history then get yourself down to one, or all of these events. Tickets are available from Ticketline on 0870 442 2100 and, as you can imagine, will sell out pretty fast.
