From 18 – 20 October the big music convention is back titled ‘Everything Else Is Just Noise’
Date Published: 07/10/2009
It’s back again, Manchester’s very own musically mad convention.
In the City, the event created by Yvette Livesey and the late Tony Wilson, will be rampaging through city venues from 18-20 October.
There’s a whole roster of live acts to feast upon as well as a series of high profile record label, radio station and magazine showcases together with all the usual debate and discussion.
All the mysterious shenanigans of the music world will be open to the non-industry Joe as well. This year there are 2000 special public access wristbands on sale at £20. These are available from the official In The City website at www.inthecity.co.uk.
The event will be very like the Conservative Party conference except different in every way. Actually there is one thing in common with the two events. In a mere fifteen October days of 2009 the poor old Midland Hotel, will have been having sleepless nights over first the Tories and then the rock’n’rollers. Isn’t life interesting?
Here’s a listing of the live music events at In the City.
