Southern Eleven Opens At Spinningfields

AMERICAN barbecue cooking has come to Spinningfields as Southern Eleven opened its restaurant doors on Friday, 8 July.

A communal table carved from an oak tree runs half the length of the restaurant and sits 20 people – ideal for social gatherings such as birthdays or office parties.

Southern Eleven is offering a new style of American dining experience, using authentic cooking techniques to create contemporary Southern dishes. And Confidential readers can get a Southern Eleven voucher that gives you a big discount on food.

The restaurant cooks the majority of its meat in wood-burning ovens directly imported from Oklahoma. These allow the meat to be cooked for up to 20 hours to create a smoky BBQ-infused flavour.

The Ginger Pig farm in Yorkshire provides Southern Eleven with outdoor-reared rare breed pork and grass-fed Longhorn beef that has been hung for at least 30 days. The restaurant's free range chicken comes from Goosnargh in Lancashire.

The bar will be serving classic American cocktails along with authentic bourbon whiskeys and American beers. Younger restaurant goers can enjoy milkshakes in a range of flavours including Oreo Cookie.

Southern Eleven will be open seven days a week from 11am until midnight.
