It has to be said that Tuesday nights are a bit of a non-event. It’s that awkward time of post-weekend depression. You want to go out again but the working week has only just begun. Great.

Well, what better than a ray of Brazilian sunshine to restore your Saturday spirit….on a Tuesday.

Pau Brasil in the Northern Quarter have launched their Tuesday party nights where you can enjoy Brazilian beats and a carnival of cocktails.

Try Brazil's signature cocktail, the Caipirinha which is made of sugar cane, lime and cachaça. The Caipirinhas are zingy delights, recognized the world over for summing up the lively spirit of their country of origin.

For the more adventurous, try the spicy Bahia which comes complete with a piece of red chilli, or the strawberry flavoured Nani, named after the Portuguese Manchester United footballer.
