When Confidential’s offices were on Lloyd Street, the staff used to frequent Beluga for drinks on a fairly regular basis, the service was always good and the bar snacks did what it said on the tin. Gordo had the odd burger there as well. It’s good fun.
What passed us by somewhat was the restaurant downstairs. It’s a really great space, all moody, velvety and warm. The menu has sold well over the years, with starters such as Tempura Prawns and Fishcakes always selling well. The Greek Meze is a winner.
Mains run through Pizzas (Chicken and Chorizo recommended by us) to Roast Duck and oven baked Sea Bream. Slow roast Lamb Shank with Rosemary showed well on the trial and the Steaks have won praise.
A full array of pudds finishes off a real fun offer. This may well be the best value offer we have run so far; you choose a starter, main and pudding off the A La Carte, with unlimited wine during the meal. At under £20, it really is a bargain. Beluga are keen to attract the ManCon readers folks.
The offer runs until the end of March, every day between 7-9pm. It's great value, it's limited covers and it's bound to book up quickly. Don't miss out.
