Twisted Med

Since launching a month ago, new Mediterranean restaurant The Twisted Med in Castlefield has established itself nicely in the spot once occupied by Barca. Like its predecessor, it has attracted its fair share of 'names' with Hollyoaks star Anthony Quinlin, Kirsty Howard and Manchester United ace Tom Cleverley all dining there. Cleverley praised the “great food and atmosphere” and said he'd had “a really enjoyable night”.

The restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine with a particular focus on Spanish, Italian and Greek food. The team uses fresh, basic and organic ingredients whenever possible, and their background at San Carlo and Stock is evident.

Signature dishes include Fillet Balsimaco, Pork Belly Saltimbocca and Grilled Marline Supreme.

Diners can also enjoy stunning sharing platters of fresh fish, meat and vegetables. For a lighter option, colourful starters, salads and sides are available.

The Twisted Med hosts tailor-made parties and special events with facilities for live music available.
