From this Saturday 19th, National Vegetarian Week kicks off, and Manchester is hosting 'Meat Free Manchester' from 1100 - 1600 in Albert Square.
There will be live cookery demos from Rose Elliot, who will also be signing her books!, Wendy Swetnam, Head Chef of 1847 Bistro, will be conducting a cooking class from 1400 - 1500. Stop by and watch Wendy whip up her delectable Hendricks Gin & Tonic Cake (Vegan, natch) plus Purple Potato Rosti. Even meat eaters will love the dishes on offer, so drop by and get your 5 a day in the most delicious way possible.
Last year, 1847 was proud to be approved by the Vegetarian Society, and we're excited to announce that last week, we have been approved by the Vegan Society, meaning all our vegan dishes and wines have been checked and confirmed as suitable.

You get a main course and a drink (either a glass of wine, a beer or a soft drink) for just £10.
It's a saving of about £5.50 on the normal price. It's available lunch times from Monday - Sunday 1200-1430 and additional courses can be added.
