Quoting Mrs T, I'm an "unromatic idiot" Winning would be a fantastic early Xmas gift. For her obviously...
And I can't spell *romantic
I'd love to be the eternal envy of the young girls in the office at the Christmas party and be able to look like it was effortless!
Where do I start... I am one of the oldest in the company at 31 and am constantly up against women that were born in the 90's. I like to think I have style, however, not the size 0 that goes with it. Winning the opportunity to be styled would definately increase my confidence and give me an insight into what I should be wearing!
Well it wouldn't be for me, but my lovely wife. She is the star in my life and the reason I drag myself out of bed and to work every day. I can't afford all the things I want to give her, so this would be a great thank you to her. This isn't a sob story, just a lot of live to an amazing woman.
Im a very young at heart 50 year old who could do with some va va voom this christmas!!!!!!!!!
Because I haven't bought any brand new clothes or shoes, or had my hair cut for over a year due to lack of funds and I would enjoy the chance to be pampered...and because the man I love will be at my work do, and I would like to give him the treat of having a truly glamorous girl on his arm.
Well having been over weight all my life, (cliche I know) BUT I am super excited as I have lost 2 stone! And now all my clothes are falling off me! I would love to step out in a new shiny outfit, in a new shiny body :)
I've been skint for too long, work my ass off and can't aford a decent outfit so this would be a real treat. : )
in need of a transformation, sounds just the job for me
I gave birth just over 6months ago and cannot fit in to any off my old clothes (rags as such) and don't want to wear my maternity clothes any more. I need HELP .... the last time I remember styling my hair was ages ago and i bearly look in the mirror these days for scaring myself!! I don't even wash and go I just Go
I am due to give birth any day now and am longing to get glammed up, ditch the maternity clothes and look every inch the yummy mummy for Christmas. Especially as it was my 30th in April and because I was 8 weeks pregnant and had to pretend all night that I was drunk when I was sober as a.. well, pregnant person :)
Bah Humbug! Scrooge will not let me spend more than a few coppers even though I am in desperate need of a new party frock! Please let it be me!
I simple love to sparkle,
Though of late I've lost my shine,
To win this fantastic outfit,
Would for me be just divine,
I'm slimming down for Christmas,
All the drugs have made me fat,
I'm a determined little trooper,
I will succeed - I promise that,
So to make me rival fairy,
On the topmost of the tree,
I'll ask you so politely,
Please PLEASE give this prize to me ;]
I want people to stare and ask where I got the gorgeous clothing and make up done .
JEALOUS GIRLS ! You should be =oD
This will be my first Christmas not completely alone in 6 years and those 6 years have been a pretty rough ride so I want to look absolutely fabulous in Manchester for what will be my first ever Christmas here too! ;-)
Weeeeelllll, I am going to start a new job soon and I will start on a Monday - then the very next Saturday I will be going on my new works xmas party!! I am already so so nervous about it, what will I wear.... what will I do with my hair....what happens if no one likes me :-((
If I could get glammed up with the help of Eternal Envy I would have a few less things to worry about and would look fab and festive! xxx
I'm a bloke and need some new clothes!!! Why can't it be a blokey giveaway :(
All in good time Pieman.
I want to win this prize to make sure that i look super fab this christmas pretty please
I've never felt that I looked my best - I keep in shape but it's spoilt by not knowing how to compliment my shape and colouring with clothes, accessories & make up, so I always end up looking like a bit of a mis-match. Help!
because i turned 40 this year and have worn the same kind of clothes and had the same hair style(!!)for years
To show my kids, I've still got it even after all these years..... yummy mummy
I put a line through 2009, for it to happen again in 2010.
A glamorous re-edit much needed.
My son getsmarried soon and i ned help to look good
I think Hulton is in the lead here
@liz craws. I'm guessing you are a family of hillybillys then?
Thanks Anon, lets hope they see it your way! :)
I'd like to enter for my mum. She thinks of everyone before herself and would not think twice about spending money on us but rarely treats herself. I'd love to see her get pampered for a change and show her how much she is appreciated.
2010 has been a sad year for me lost two aunties to cancer and christmas is also a sad time as i lost my father jan 1999 and its his birthday in december so its hard to celebrate, this prize would cheer me up and put a smile back on my face.
Feeling very unglam at the moment having to inject myself more than usual due to problems with my diabetes so would be lovely to feel less like a pin cusion for once and more like a person! It would certainly chirp me up alot and get me ready for the Christmas season...with parties and my birthday around christmas it woul make me actually feel like venturing out! It would be fantastic!x
No sob story here. I am simply a sexy, long legged, curvy, nearly 6ft blonde, who finds it hard to get clothes to suit her tall and size 16 frame. I love to get dressed up and look glam, but rarely have the outfit for it. Get me out of jeans and back into dresses - all the boys will love it.
I once was incredibly lardy
And so not prone to a pardy
I'd stay in and eat
On my comfy big seat
And become so incredibly mardy
But now I have lost stones x 4
And am itching to get out of the door!
But nothing to wear
I'm getting in a right tear!
As myself I want to show more!
Please help me and answer my plea
So I can go out and shine and be me
Oh Eternal Envy be my saviour
And do me a very big favour
So I can sparkle for all to see!
Don't want to sound whiney - would love to win the prize. Had a horrible year my husband got made redundant and then his uncle died of cancer. He then was diagnosed with cancer himself and had to have an operation and treatment. He never complains about anything and is on the road to recovery but times are hard financially. It would be nice to make an effort for a change, show him how much I love him and take him out somewhere nice; it would be nice to think about something other than money or cancer and show him I can look good after 18 months of hell.
I need this chance to show my husband and five children that I am not such a frump after all.
I'd really like to win this for my wife Sheila. . she puts up with so much (skint kids at uni plus me under her feet all day) that she really deserves a posh frock for me to take her out in. Pretty please?
Give me the chance to shine and it will make my hubby proud to be mine!
I've been dieting for ages & have lost 8 stone in a year so think I deserve a new outfit as it's cost me a fortune buying new clothes going from a size 32 to a size 16 in such a short time
I have an eye for quality and this is it. Would love an eternal envy dress to show the other area sales managers at AVON. After the year I have had I could do with cheering up a bit. xx
I have just managed to lose weight and get back down to a size 14, so I deserve this and it would put the sparkle into my Christmas.
I used to be told I should have been a model, instead I had children and got a 'normal' job - I personally dont think I could have, I would never be a size 6!! I love my food too much. Now I am 30 and I would like to have some pictures taken so when I am old and withered I can look back and show the grandchildren that Nana was not always as wrinkly as a shar-pei!
My other half spends far more time thinking about other people than she ever does herself. She works such long hours and puts so much effort into everything she does, but rarely gets what she deserves in return.
When she does get the chance to do a bit of shopping (or self styling) she's over the moon. She bounces around like a kid with a Zapf Creation head and a fistful of hair brackets (or whatever they're called). This doesn't happen as often as it should.
The clothes in the pics are just like those she looks at in the shops and all the make up in the world wouldn't stop her beaming til spring if she got this. She deserves it as much as anyone and I've like to put her name in the hat. Thanks.
I am worthy because I am a tramp and not even Trinny and Susannah can help me out. I am an unemployed librarian and a very nerdy one too so I am a classic case otherwise my doctor will be signing me onto the psychiatric register before too long.
finances chronic,I'm second hand Rose,
parties to go to..needing new clothes!
Last year I felt fat and frumpy in maternity clothes, this year it's my baby's first Christmas and I want to look and feel great as I enjoy it with her, AND, there will be lots of photos being taken by doting Grandparents :-)
I deserve to win this prize for my wife Judith because I gave her 5 fine children - and hence left her with no money to spend on herself
we have had such a bad year this year. What with the missus trying to qualify after 7 gruelling years at Uni, family illness, death, financial uncertainty and all this and she manages to stay happy and supportive in my troubles and neevr comlpains. She has very little time for herself and although a very beautiful woman she is often unsure of who to better compliment this. Tips on style and makeup would be a life changing experience for her..
I'm worthy of this prize as when it comes to fashion I haven't got a clue. Please Manchester Confidential, give me a much needed makeover!
I only started wearing dresses a year or so ago, so could use any tips a makeover would give me. These dresses look FABULOUS, and I could do with a new one for all of my Xmas dos. Help me out with a little black dress? :)
I would love to win this as I could do with some help with my styling as I've got no taste whatsoever
Today in the bedroom I happened by chance,
to pass the long mirror and take a quick glance.
I was puzzled and wondered who the old girl could be.
A plain, dowdy stranger looking at me.
Her hair was a mass of dark coloured fuzz. She wasn't as girlish as I always was.
Her clothes were so shapeless, a mismash of parts.
That were cobbled together without instructions or charts.
I can't quite believe what I know I can see, that this old fashioned 'frump' is actually ME.
Well...if that WAS my image...I can honestly say ...they dont make mirrors like they did in my day!
I don't remember losing 'IT'....you know, my 'joie de vie'. I may now be looking ancient .....but I'm only 53.
So Confidential... please, please wont you give me a chance.
Who knows...a makeover might spark some romance.
Eternal Envy and Effortless Image too, can transform this sad speciman into one thats brand new!!!
I want this because its gorgeous and as ive quit smoking and lost 2 stone this year ,need something that fits me now . But i am proud of myself.
Just found out im pregnant...need to look good just now as im down in the dumps with hormones lol....im a right whinger at the moment and that dress is soooo lovely.
I'd love this as I'm about to lose my job and my addiction to lovely clothes at the moment extends as far as window shopping.
I think I could make your clotheses look very good on me like your model in the picture. Plus I have two legs so they would look better.
Stuart Marsh (rant 42 under name of MG) has won this competition however we can't get hold of him, we only have his email address. Please can anyone who knows him contact us within 24 hours or we will pick another winner. Thanks
I only have office or casual clothes and there was a 1-year gap between my last 2 haircuts, I am in serious need of some party clothes and styling!
Hi,
Just checked up on this and see that I won but you couldn't get hold of me. My name isn't Stuart though (which may be the cause of the confusion). Not sure where that came from. I will email enquiries@planetconfidential.co.uk now.
I want to win because I clamour for glamour
This is the perfect time of year to get that boost and feel good amongst your work mates!
I am a poor student in Manchester studying Textiles.. I work my little butt off not only in my degree but in my part time job (so that i can afford to continue with my degree)..
Winning this competition would be such a treat!!!
Having just moved to Manchester, starting a new job, and moving into a new house I've had a lot to contend with in the past month, my boyfriend is now being sent to Brazil for 3 months with work, so I'm on my own in a new city over xmas, and don't really know anyone in the city... This would be a great pick me up xxxx
I NEED to win this to transform me from the frumpy middle aged woman that no-one notices, other than to push out of the way in a crowd, into some dazzling beauty that everyone looks round at. Clothes?? Huh, aren't shoulder pads of the 80s still acceptable and of the wonderful bob that has seen me through the last 40 odd years wonderfully. Come on give yourselves a challenge - to tranform :)
My belly's turned to jelly, my toddlers keep having wobblers, I'd more of a slummy mummy, please turn me into something yummy!
