Heroes try Taps' new menu

Taps on Great Northern Square, the first self-service draught beer restaurant in the UK and Confidential favourite, invited a group of Heroes for a free tasting session to promote their new lunchtime and evening menus.

The Heroes were treated to a five-course sample menu, each course matched with a different beer to compliment the food.

Blue Moon brewers and Different World Drinks Company helped organise the event. Different World rep Paul was on hand to talk the Heroes through each of the beers and why they'd been selected to match each course.

Both the food and beer went down a storm. One couple was so impressed with the taster they stayed behind to order a meal – Heroes get 25% off the a la carte menu at Taps.

Rare Cheshire beef fillet, wild mushroom and smoked cheese risotto cake with a tarragon jus.

Marinated monkfish loin on saffron and tomato paella with spring peas, mussels and chorizo.

Dessert

Dark Belgian chocolate truffle cake, red fruit coulis and crème chantilly.
