Norfox £3,000 Gift To Charity

SEASONS greetings to the North West property charity Norfox which has just donated £3,000 to the St Mary's Centre in Manchester.

The charity, led by Ian Hall of City & Cheshire and Stephen Chalcraft of Pannone, is supported by surveyors, lawyers, developers and all manner of construction bods who raise money to help non-mainstream children's charities across the region.

They turned out in force for a Christmas lunch at Albert's Shed where the cheque was handed over to Dr Cath White from St Mary's.

She said:"We are delighted that Norfox felt we were a worthy cause to support and this money will help us enormously to continue our work in Manchester." It will go towards improvements at the centre which this year has handled and cared for more than 1000 babies and young children who have suffered sexual abuse.

Ian Hall, Co-Chair, "Xmas is all about fun and festivities but we must always remember those who may not be able to enjoy it as much as we do. Our lunch was great fun but we are serious about raising money to help great causes like St Mary's.

"The generosity of our guests, plus the hard work of our committee, has now raised almost another £3K to add to our funds which will enable us to help another local charity next year. We are also grateful for the support of James Ramsbottom who gave the venue free of charge and all his team and we are planning a summer event at Albert's Shed in Manchester."

The Norfox 'choir' added musical muscle to the carol singing backed by jazz musician Jeremy Sassoon, ably assisted by Sarah Humber who also delighted guests with her solo.
