If you really, really, really have nothing else to do then come and watch a Manchester Confidential All Star XI.

It's certain to be 90 minutes of 11-aside action in an actual stadium with proper WAGs in attendance.

The team, led by Manchester Confidential editor Jonathan Schofield (aged 47, going on 17), are up against a bunch of tough nut number-crushers from CLB Coopers Chartered Accountants. They're the maths and we're the media. It's anyone's game.

Confidential are going with a 4-4-3 formation because we can’t add up: they’re going to see if they can get any change out of us. It'll be a game of two halves and probably a pint or two in the bar after.

Our squad has even practised. Once. Well some of us did and Sam Jones (aged 24, going on 15) lost the match ball.

The venue is The Valley Road Stadium, home of Flixton FC and Manchester City Ladies - Valley Road, Urmston, M41 8RQ. The place reputedly has a capacity of 2000. So a respectable crowd of twenty would be lovely.

Kick off is at 6.30pm and there's also a bar for you to prop up, if - and this is clearly not going to happen - the on-field action proves less than interesting.

We may even buy you a pint if we win.

As a special one-off, Confidential will be wearing the Ukranian home kit supplied by Classic Football Shirts based just off Ashton Old Road close to SportsCity.

We’re not sure why we'll be playing in that one but it is a bit yellow like Confidential’s masthead.
