2016 HAS been quite a year at Mint Lounge. Manchester’s longest running weekly club night, Funkademia, came of age and turned 21 this year, welcoming two new resident DJs, Adam Unsworth (Audiowhores) and Peter Jay (Friends & Family), and also welcoming record numbers through the Mint Lounge doors every Saturday night.
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it
Time flies when you're having fun and Funkademia is now fast approaching its 21st New Year’s Eve party in Manchester. Every single one of the past twenty New Year’s Eve parties have sold out and this year should be no different. David Dunne will be spinning in the New Year backed up by the resident DJ collective who will be playing the biggest Funkademia dance floor killers with absolutely no fillers...
Funkademia promoter, Dave Payne, said: “This will be our 21st consecutive NYE party and on New Year’s Eve we believe people want to bank on a good solid fun night out with their mates with quality music and friendly people in a nice club where they’re not ripped off. Hence no big name DJ’s or ticket prices and we’re sticking with our tried and tested Funkademia DJ team in our favourite venue. Quite straightforward really – if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.”
As usual, things will be kept very reasonable and to thank everybody who has danced the night away at Funkademia this year, early bird tickets are just £5, which is exceptional value for New Year’s Eve in Manchester. There’s just two hundred of these and once they’re gone tickets will go up to £10 and £15. Remember, there has never been a Funkademia New Year’s Eve that hasn’t sold out in advance so don’t leave it too late to buy your tickets.
