With its turreted towers, wood panelled rooms, crackling fires and twinkling grand piano, stepping inside Palé Hall Hotel is like stepping into the pages of a classic mystery novel. So it's no wonder they've decided to host their first ever murder mystery weekend this spring.

This country house hotel mixes old-style charm with modern day luxury.

You won't need to use your imagination too much to believe an Agatha Christie-style whodunnit is unfolding around you. Situated on the doorstep of the Snowdonia National Park, this country house hotel mixes old-style charm with modern day luxury. Its attractions include a fine-dining restaurant with signature menus from Michael Caines, 18 individually styled rooms, and beautiful private gardens. Guests for the murder mystery weekend can make the most of them all.

After checking in on the Friday afternoon, you'll gather together for a glass of fizz, before the drama begins. You could be the guilty suspect, or you could be one of the innocent bystanders. Either way, the murder must be solved before the night is over.

The experience includes dinner from their acclaimed chefs (the menu is below...and is enough to tempt you there in its own right), and one-night's accommodation in one of their beautifully-attired rooms. The next day, murder safely solved, you'll enjoy a full Welsh breakfast. Then you've got Snowdonia on your doorstep to explore.

The murder mystery break takes place on 2 March 2017. Prices start from £330 per couple, including fizz on arrival, entertainment, four-course dinner, overnight stay and breakfast.

It's also worth mentioning Palé Hall's Spring accommodation deal – you save 10% on accommodation between March and May when you quote 'Spring' when booking direct. (This offer cannot be used when booking for the murder mystery weekend).

Whenever you choose to go, Palé Hall Hotel is the perfect place to escape. You'll be in no hurry to return to real life after a stay there.
